If you’re in Canada, you know all about Tim Hortons’ coffee and donuts, but there’s one bit of information these days that might make a visit to the shop even more appealing.
There are packs of Upper Deck hockey cards that include redemptions for Sidney Crosby autographs and one of the earliest cards of No. 1 draft pick Connor McDavid — and they can only be bought at the chain’s stores. Because of that, demand for these rarer redemptions has been high.
How high? The Crosby has sold for as much as $1,750 on eBay. It’s a card showing him as a child in a Tim Hortons jersey and is limited to only 87 copies. Meanwhile, the McDavid has pushed $1,000 — basically led by the allure of it being one of his first cards to show him in an Edmonton Oilers jersey.
Not bad as a bonus to some Timbits, eh?
