They’re new players and you may already have their new baseball cards but not even know it.
Topps announced on Thursday that top draft picks Dansby Swanson and Brendan Rodgers are the mystery redemptions found in packs of 2015 Topps Heritage Minor League, the set that takes today’s players down on the farm back to 1966.
Swanson, who was the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s daft by the Diamondbacks is Redemption No. 1, while Rodgers, who was taken by the Rockies with the third pick, is Redemption No. 2.
The Arizona shortstop starred at Vanderbilt before hitting .289 in 22 games as a pro this season, while Colorado’s shortstop hit .273 in his first 37 games as a pro.
