There are 10 new products on tap for this coming week with the newest Upper Deck Young Guns on the ice, the first college-focused baseball release from Panini America and a new gridiron rainbow from Panini Prizm going up against Topps’ latest version of Finest.
Phenom Connor McDavid paces the pack of Young Guns and he’ll be the first rookie on the checklist of 50 NHL newcomers found in the product. Joining him will be Artemi Panarin, Dylan Larkin and Max Domi to name a few, while No. 2 pick Jack Eichel will appear in Series 2 but be found in Series 1 boxes on a UD Canvas card.
Arriving on Wednesday is 2015 Panini Contenders, a prospecting brand showcasing college colors and packing six autographs per along with more than 100 inserts and parallels per 24-pack hobby box. Top draft picks and international signees will be found here in their previous teams’ colors as part of the familiar Contenders format that we’ve seen in past pro releases and recent draft picks sets from the company in basketball and football.
For football collectors, we’ll have dueling rainbows as 2015 Topps Finest and 2015 Panini Prizm arrive this week. Standard Prizm boxes will include two autographs per, while jumbo boxes will double that. Finest includes one rookie autograph patch and one signed jumbo Relic per master box (one of those per mini box) with four Atomic Refractor rookies and two 1995 Finest rookie insert cards also found inside.
Also on tap for the high-end collector is 2015 Leaf ITG Superlative, a brand that will include seven cards per pack with many 1/1 creations showcasing the stars of the past and modern days. Also to be found here are autographs of Leaf exclusive Jack Eichel.
