Will Ferrell‘s baseball career may be over, but his baseball card career isn’t.
The big-league comedian who played a big-leaguer for a day in spring training this year will have at least one more baseball card appearance to come, and it will be in 2015 Topps Dynasty.
Topps teased Ferrell’s inclusion in the product online on Tuesday with this 1/1 logoman card signed by Ferrell as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. That was one of the 10 teams he played for in a single day to raise awareness for cancer-fighting initiatives and the Ferrell Takes the Field special that aired on HBO.
In 2015 Topps Archives released earlier this year, Topps made a card for each of Ferrell’s teams and he signed 10 copies of each card for insertion into packs. Those single cards were among the hottest in the hobby for a stretch earlier this summer with some cards topping $2,000.
Dynasty is Topps’ highest-end baseball product with just one signed patch card or cut autograph per pack. It’s scheduled for a Dec. 9 release. It’s not known at this time whether Ferrell will have multiple 1/1 cards in the product or just this one card.
