Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is off to a historic start after his first five games as an NBA rookie.
On Saturday, the No. 1 overall pick scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against the Chicago Bulls, putting him in some elite company.
According to ESPN, he’s just the third player in the last 30 years to open his career with 75 points, 40 rebounds and 15 blocks in his first five games. The only others to do so?
Shaquille O’Neal and David Robinson.
With only two 2015-16 products on the collecting court right now — both from Panini America — collectors have just a few options for Towns’ autographs. His autographs from NBA Hoops and Panini Contenders Draft are routinely selling for more than $100 on eBay with a high of $1,000 paid for his Contenders Playoff Ticket No. 12/15, which matches his Kentucky Wildcats uniform number.
