MLB Stand Up To Cancer auctions include experiences instead of memorabilia

SU2C-MLB-AuctionLogoA series of auctions began Sunday via Major League Baseball will help fight cancer while offering the winning bidders the chances to make memories instead of merely adding memorabilia to their collections while helping a cause.

More than 80 listings launched by MLB Auctions will benefit Stand Up To Cancer as well as charities noted by individual teams. Several teams have a few listings noted as part of the program.

What will you get to do as a winner? Well …

Some teams will allow you to be in the dugout or on the field for an event. Others will put you to work as an intern (Oakland) or as part of the social media team (Dodgers). Other experiences will let you meet stars — you know, guys like Mike Trout, Tom Glavine or Vin Scully. Or, if you’re really adventurous you can hang out with the Phillie Phanatic, brew beer with Minnesota Twin Glen Perkins or have the Milwaukee Brewers racing sausages visit your home or office.

Most auctions opened at $500 and, not surprisingly, ones like meeting Trout, Scully or David Ortiz are already over $1,000. To see all of the auctions, click here.
