What you see here is a commemorative T-shirt for a trombone that met her demise recently at the hands of the vicious Chris Jericho in the world of WWE.
No, really, and it can be yours for $24.99. The store description on WWEShop.com reads: “In loving memory of Francesca The Trombone, the fourth member of The New Day. She will live in our hearts forever.”
Only in WWE would there be talents good enough to pull this off as the tag team champs — a high-energy, comedic bad-boy/badass faction made up of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E — have just done that. Francesca was mourned last week (above) and she’s returned in spirit with Francesca II arriving last night at the Royal Rumble.
So, will there be a Francesca The Trombone Relic to come from Topps? Will any of these Francesca shirts be used and end up in a Relic? We’ll have to wait and see but there’s no doubt that Francesca has been a memorable part of the ringside experience in recent months and should end up on cardboard in some capacity.
