What’s buzz-worthy: This year’s Chrome will have all the rainbow shades collectors expect, some rare veteran autos and two autos in every box, but that all might be trumped by the inclusion of 2015 Topps Chrome Carlos Correa Rookie Card autographs as the ink from the reigning American League Rookie of the Year will also be found here.

The basic set will consist of 200 cards with a Refractor rainbow that includes standard, Prism, Purple (/TBD), Blue (/TBD), Green (/TBD), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers as well as printing plates. … Rookie autographs will have the same rainbow except for Prisms and Green. … There also will be Black Refractor Hot Boxes where every base card will be a parallel. … Among the autographs in this one will be MLB Debut, Youth Impact and Team Logo ink each with Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Super and plate versions. Also in play will be dual autos of rookies and veterans. …

2016-Topps-Chrome-SeagerAmong the inserts will be image variations from the base set, Youth Impact, Future Stars (hobby-only) and, for the first time, First Pitch celebs. These also will have parallels with varying rainbows. … Two Chronicles sets will track Rookie of the Year winners in standard and autographed versions. These will have Orange, Red and Super versions for the unsigned as well as the signed versions, which will also have plates.
