What’s Buzz-worthy: At the original suggested retail price of $120, Prizm basketball is one that is all about the inserts and a meaty base set. This one doesn’t include nearly as many Prizms as its NFL counterpart, making the three-per-pack Red White & Blue Pulsar Prizms the biggest potential money-maker here. If you get top names, you could do well at this box’s bargain price because there’s some safety in numbers. This box included LeBron and six rookies, so it probably could have been worse on that front. (Interestingly the NFL box included just one rookie among these inserts.) … There are autographs possible in these boxes as well as a few inserts, but the breakdown above should show you how plentiful the inserts are here. (This one’s all about parallel inserts for sure.) Helping out the base set here is a stronger design than previous years and tighter photo crops as well as a checklist that includes past legends along with the stars and rookies of today. … While this one isn’t as exciting as the NFL release, it does offer a decent amount of cardboard and potential at its present bargain price.
