One of Kobe Bryant‘s final NBA All-Star Game jerseys got a big send-off on Thursday just like the star who wore it.
How? Via NBA Auctions.
The jersey was worn during the first half of his final All-Star Game on Feb. 14 in Toronto and sold for $100,040 after 74 bids — basically doubling what is believed to be the previous high for a jersey sold on the site.
The NBA auction dwarfed the rest of the recently completed auctions. The next-highest auction was for a Stephen Curry All-Star jersey at $45,000 (not far off from the previous record) and a Bryant Christmas Day jersey for $32,020. The next-highest All-Star jerseys were $28,020 for LeBron James and $15,000 for Kevin Durant.
A selection of other All-Star Game items are still currently at auction, including Bryant’s shooting shirt, warmup jacket and shorts. You can see all of the active auctions here.
The previous high for an All-Star jersey sold on the site was a $50,040 James gamer.
