Topps Authentics‘ newest star is a Boston Red Sox legend and his 1960 Topps Rookie Card is getting a taste of the rainbow — the Chrome rainbow.
And the player? It’s Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski.
The 1/1 Superfractor version of the 8-by-10 oversized card is $999, while the remainder of the rainbow includes standard Chrome ($149.99), Green (/50, $249.99), Orange (/25, $379.99), Purple (/10, $499.99) and Red (/5, $599.99). These are only initially available via Topps.com.
Yaz played 23 years, all with the Red Sox, hitting .285 with 452 home runs and 1,844 RBI, winning the American League MVP award in 1967 when he won the Triple Crown with a .326 average, 44 home runs and 121 RBI. He was an 18-time All-Star and seven-time Gold Glove winner when he retired after the 1983 season.
