What’s buzz-worthy: The next Star Wars movie gets a preview trading card set with a throwback design and Heritage-style stock in advance of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Dec. 16. The film will story will focus on rebel spies on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.

The Basics: The base set will consist of 110 cards with six insert sets and a range of hits that includes autographs (from all areas of Star Wars history), sketch cards, patch cards and printing plates. Also in the mix will be quad books as well as dual and triple autographs, which will be hobby-only finds. … The base set will have five types of parallels — Death Star (one per pack), Blue (one in four packs), Gray (/100), Gold (/50) and 1/1 Orange. … The insert lineup will include character stickers, Heroes of the Rebel Alliance, Villains of the Galactic Empire, The Death Star, Montages and Comic Strips. … The auto lineup will include new signers and more than 70 different people. There will be four duals and two triples on the checklist but just one quad. The standard autos will have parallels — Death Star (/50), Blue (/25), Gold (/10) and 1/1 Orange and printing plates.
