What’s Buzz-worthy: As said in our blaster break, the flagship WWE set is an interesting one with a base set that’s loaded with legends and many big names but many of the biggest names like John Cena, Roman Reigns and others are nowhere to be found in the base set. Instead, they are in the insert lineups. … The mix of hits — NXT mats, SummerSlam mats and autographs — give this brand some added chase but this box had a bit more standard fare with a good performer in Dean Ambrose with one of the worst-looking autographs possible. The Relic here was of a newcomer but probably not one with a big collector following. This box was solid, but the hits could have been stronger because the checklist there is pretty solid. … Nevertheless, there are plenty of possibilities for solid hits, while a hobby box gives you a good chunk of the NXT set as well as nearly a full base set. The other inserts are found here in decent amounts, too. The tough chase in this brand will be the parallels, which look pretty good. The Bronze are one in every other pack. while the Silvers are one per box. These cards are not numbered. … What is numbered are all the hits, showing how the WWE print runs just might be a lot smaller than you might expect. … Overall, this isn’t the flashiest release but it’s one that gives plenty of potential fun without breaking the bank.
