It’s two pieces of maple held together with three screws. A “TB12” logo is laser-etched into the surface and in between are pages of recipes printed on 100-pound full-color paper.
Its official name is the TB12™ Nutrition Manual and it’s a cookbook. Its creator? New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Its cost? A mere $200.
And it’s sold out.
Buzz will let the official description for the TB12™ Nutrition Manual speak for itself …
TB12™ Nutrition Manual is a limited-edition “living document” containing information about our core TB12 nutritional philosophies and featuring a library of 89 seasonally-inspired recipes that you can use to support your TB12-aligned nutrition plan.
The TB12 Nutrition Manual is designed to be modified and expanded over time using its unique screw post binding: as we periodically update this manual with new or modified recipes, we will send additional pages to all purchasers of the manual.
Clearly some foodies are pumped up by this item’s existence because the first printing of this creation only available via Brady’s TB12 Store sold out despite a $200 price tag. If you missed out and feel a bit deflated by the news, don’t worry — additional copies of the book may arrive next month, according to the site.
Something else interesting about this one (besides the fact that it’s not autographed for that price)? There are no returns or exchanges allowed.
Among the nine other items up for grabs in the store — all with the TB12 logo in Patriots colors, of course — are a five-pound medicine ball ($90), a performance mat ($80), a weighted vest ($140), protein ($54), electrolytes ($15), a “shoulder performance kit” ($160), T-Shirts ($25) as well as baseball caps and winter hats ($30).
