Topps details its plans for upcoming Trevor Story Rookie Cards

Screen-Shot-2016-05-09-at-12.04.10-PM-1024x742Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story appears on more than 200 different baseball cards and has signed more than 40 different certified autograph cards since his cardboard arrival back in 2011.

But there’s one thing that a collector of this new MLB standout can’t do yet — pull a Rookie Card of him from a pack.

Screen-Shot-2016-05-10-at-8.47.12-AM-730x1024Topps will be changing that soon as Story is slated to appear on an RC in 2016 Topps Stadium Club, which is set to arrive on June 29. He should appear on RCs in any products after that point, but Topps also noted that he’ll appear in 2016 Bowman Chrome and have his first RC logo-enhanced autographs in 2016 Topps Allen & Ginter, which arrives on July 20.

Story’s torrid start and rookie record-tying 10 home runs in April have sparked interest in cards of the former first-round pick from Irving, Texas. He’s hit .277 with 11 homers and 27 RBI in his first 31 games as a big-leaguer after hitting just 70 home runs over five seasons and 537 minor-league games.
