This year’s National Sports Collectors Convention is set for Aug. 3-7 in Atlantic City, N.J., but that hasn’t stopped Upper Deck from revealing the first promotional cards that will only initially be found at the event.
The company will produce a five-card VIP set along with a wrapper redemption program.
The VIP set will include cards of Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, LeBron James, Martin Brodeur and Tiger Woods, while the company’s wrapper redemption program will include a 10-card set with a companion autograph and cut auto set. The company’s packs also will include 10 NHL rookies also with autographed parallels available.
The company also will continue its Random Acts of Kindness program with envelopes hidden around the convention floor that can be good for prizes and it also will hold a “super-premium product” group break via a free raffle.
The new details from Upper Deck:
“To receive one 2016 Upper Deck Wrapper Redemption pack collectors just need to purchase:
— Ten (10) packs of 2015-16 NHL Upper Deck Series Two or 2015-16 NHL O-Pee-Chee Platinum
— Five (5) packs of 2015-16 NHL Upper Deck Contours, 2015-16 NHL ICE, 2015-16 NHL Champs, 2015-16 NHL SP Authentic or 2016 Goodwin Champions.
To receive three (3) 2016 Upper Deck Wrapper Redemption packs, collectors just need to purchase one pack of 2015-16 NHL UD Black or 2015-16 NHL Ultimate Collection.
These packs must be purchased from a Certified Diamond Dealer who will provide collectors with an Upper Deck issued voucher for the redemption program. The program will begin at the start of the show each day and run as long as supplies last. Collectors can take advantage of the promotion up to four times per person, per day.
