What’s Buzz-worthy: The list of notable stars and rookies should tell you how this box went — both lists were quite short — but the potential rookies in this one made it a must-buy when Buzz found it in a discount bin for $11.99. Cam Newton, J.J. Watt, A.J. Green, Colin Caepernick, DeMarco Murray, Mark Ingram and Von Miller are all on the Rookie Card checklist but most weren’t found here. This box also should be a good example of how much the world of football cards can change in five years — in both who’s hot and who’s making cards now. … This is a clean and crisp design that holds up well, while some of the top rookies have delivered. … If you land a variation or a high-end hit in a hobby box you’ll have some fun — and at worst you’ll have plenty of cardboard. Neither were found here, though technically it over-delivered on the odds. You’ll probably find better years and you’ll probably find worse years, but this particular box probably didn’t offer much of a glimpse either direction.
