There are short-printed Rookie Cards in 2016 Panini Prestige football packs, which begin arriving today in hobby shops and Panini America is planning a slow reveal of who’s rarer than the rest of the guys.
The company announced the first two SPs Wednesday and they are Oakland Raiders pick Connor Cook and Dallas Cowboys pick Jaylon Smith.
This year’s release has a new look for the long-running brand with just four packs per box and an autograph guaranteed in every pack.
These SPs will be found two per case in hobby and just one per case in retail boxes, according to the company. Retail boxes will be the only place to find memorabilia cards in the brand along with Xtra Points Green (fat packs only) and Extra Points Blue parallels. There also will be memorabilia parallels for inserts such as Alma Maters, Connections, Hardwear, Stars of the NFL, Rising Stars and Shirt Off My Back. Meanwhile, the Draft Picks Blue cards are only in blasters.
The list of 10 short-prints is revealed in the gallery below.
