June 22 Update: The card sold 2,763 copies.
The No. 1 overall pick in this year’s MLB Draft signed his first professional contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.
Today he has his first baseball card.
Mickey Moniak is among five players who have Topps Now baseball cards available now — but only for 24 hours — via Topps.com.
The 18-year-old outfielder from Carlsbad, Calif., hit .476 as a senior and has played with USA Baseball squads in the past, so it’s not his first baseball card. In fact, he appears on nearly 100 different cards and more than 60 of those are certified autographs. None of them, however, show him as a pro until Now.
