Topps readies exclusive cards for MLB All-Star FanFest

16ASFF_2004_TROUTThis year’s MLB All-Star Game FanFest is just a couple weeks away and Topps will be there with exclusive cardboard for collectors at the event.

Both today’s stars and at least one San Diego icon will be among those featured on a series of cards available at the event beginning on July 8.

16ASFF_2002_GWYNNA wrapper redemption program will yield six cards. A person will receive one card for every three packs of any 2016 Topps or Bowman product opened. The checklist there will include Mike Trout, Clayton Kershaw, Kris Bryant, Buster Posey, Matt Kemp and Bryce Harper. There’s a limit of one card per player per person per day.

A seventh card in that design — one of David Ortiz — will be available to those who make a purchase at the Topps booth using a MasterCard.

As with past shows there will be Topps factory sets available with those cards including manufactured Relic bonus cards limited to only 150 copies apiece. The players found there will include Trout, Tony Gwynn, Kenta Maeda, Harper, Ichiro Suzuki and a card of Ted Williams showing him with the San Diego Padres of the Pacific Coast League.

On the Saturday of the show, there will be a Card Trade-in. Anyone who brings a pre-2000 Topps card can trade it in for a surprise Relic card. On Sunday, it’s Bowman Day which means there will be sample Bowman packs coinciding with the Futures Game.

There also will be a Topps Now card for the top vote-getter for the game on that Saturday. On Sunday, a memorable moment from the 1992 game will be noted, while the Monday card will spotlight the Futures Game MVP.

Other on-site activities and features also will be found at the company booth.
