What’s Buzz-worthy: This is a high-end brand that can be quite risky for its price, but as one of the Fourth of July sale items it’s a bit less risky of a rip at that price. Ultimately, this one’s all about who you get when it comes to two autographs and, in particular, the metal-framed auto. This box delivered relatively well with a parallel of an established star from a successful franchise. The only drawback there? The quality of Tony Parker’s autograph and the lack of time he puts into it — that autograph won’t grade well. (Also sometimes not in your favor is the packaging — these cards could be packed more comfortably in the impressive-looking box.) The rookie patch auto in the box is a nice-looking piece of cardboard for Kansas first-round pick and Washington Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. For the last two cards, there’s star power and plenty of diecut foil-stamping. Opening this box was fast and definitely high-risk, high-reward. The brand is loaded with plenty of cards but one has to wonder whether it could be tweaked some configuration-wise to deliver more for its high-end price with a decent amount of not-elite ink (thinking non-Hall of Famer NBA retirees along with many rookies) inside. For collectors on a budget, singles are the way to go, but for a collector who appreciates the game and wants to take a shot at something without breaking the bank this might be a worthy target at its sale price.
