When 2015-16 Panini Preferred arrives next week with just four cards in a box, there will be the potential for cardboard inside that continues to push the envelope and provide the simplest touch that keeps collectors comfortable and as close to the game as they can get.
How?
Game-dated cards.
Each box will include two autographs and two booklet cards, and a number of them will note precisely when the jerseys inside were on the court. It’s not necessarily a new development as it’s something this brand has had in past years — it just seems as if there’s more emphasis and potentially more cardboard like it to come.
Here’s a sampling of the cards as teased by Panini on Thursday — a gallery that Buzz will add to once the product arrives next week.
