What’s Buzz-worthy: This box isn’t the norm for this brand with a relatively rare card, but it is an example of the cooler finds that are out there. There is no checklist for this simple idea of one autographed buyback per box rather just a list of players who signed for the brand. There can be cards from nearly all years of Topps found inside packs here all with on-card autos. Sometimes the cards won’t be perfect condition-wise — they are buybacks — but many are from memorable years for those who collected in the 1980s and 1990s. There also is a fun mix of oddball sets and recent releases that add variety as well as the change at autographed Relics. The only big drawback here is that collation has not been kind to some. Some cases will run hot with many 1/1s and plenty of rarer cards (like this one), while other cases will be stocked with cards that aren’t as rare or in-demand. Some buybacks will sell for more than you might think, while others won’t get you your box-price back. All in all this is a fun product because of its potential and its nostalgia. It’s worth a look.
