What’s Buzz-worthy: This was Panini America’s first Cooperstown release and it’s the home of some pretty impressive ink with the likes of Hall of Fame-honored broadcasters like Vin Scully and plenty (but not all) of the big names who are enshrined all with on-card autos. The only stickers are on the Famous Moments autos and a handful of deceased autograph subjects. At its original price of roughly $100 a box this one was a bit challenging as most boxes include just a single auto (on occasion there were two when lesser names), but at its current price it can be a fun rip. This case probably still lost money at current prices based on what you can see below, but it was a fun rip as a collector but getting a few dupes hurt the fun factor here. One more “big” auto would have nixed that for a top grade. At their current prices, picking off singles on eBay can help you build a Hall of Fame autograph collection quickly on what is one of the stronger (and simpler) autograph designs in some time. Buzz is a fan of this brand and may do another one of these sometime soon just to see what else may surprise when it comes to the ink.
