What’s buzz-worthy: The Cup returns with another high-end edition that includes big hits for this year’s top rookies as well as some big hits for the biggest names of the past.

2015-16-the-cup-8The Basics: All base cards in this one will be limited to just 249 serial-numbered copies with two rare parallels, Gold Spectrum and Black, for both veterans and the rookies. … On the autograph and memorabilia side, there’s plenty to be found. There will be Rookie autos with Gold (/24), Red (/8) and 1/1 Black parallels along with a 1/1 Black Foil NHL Shields, and Gold Spectrum autos. … There will be Gold, Red and Black autos of the base set cards with patch and tag versions — these will be limited to no more than eight copies for the most-common card. … Also in the mix will be Limited Logos, Scripted Sticks (and duals), Cup Foundations Quads, Notable Nameplates, Cup Trios (along with Quads and Sixes) in jersey, patch, tag and button versions, as well as Program of Excellence, Signature Renditions, Brilliance, The Show, Enshrinements and plenty more. … New this year will be The Show cards that are reminiscent of UDA items. … Books will include Monumental Rookie Patch Booklets, Autographed Monumental Sticks Booklets and Six-way Booklet Relics. … Also in the mix will be 2005-06 Rookie Tribute RPAs and plenty more.
