Former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason is fighting ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, but that isn’t stopping him from helping fight the fight by signing an autograph for charity.
And he did it with his eyes.
A Saints jersey he signed with the aid of a robot/autopen is among 10 items up for grabs via NFL Auctions in an auction ending soon.
The disease has robbed him from the ability to sign his name with his hands, but, as you can see in the video above, this one was signed.
It’s also grabbed 54 bids and sits at $1,106 via the auction site with more than a day to go.
The jersey is by far the hottest item in the auction, which also includes autographs from Drew Brees, Julio Jones and Matt Ryan with all proceeds going to fight ALS. You can see all of the auctions here.
