What’s buzz-worthy: “The ultra high-end National Treasures Collegiate football returns in 2016 featuring short-printed, serial-numbered cards of rookies, superstars and legends from their college days with a vast array of premium memorabilia,” according to Panini. Overall, it doesn’t look like the formula has changed much though there are some new features.

The Basics: New for this one on the memorabilia side are Team Logo Shield Signatures, Brand Logo Signatures and combo Team Logo and Team Slogan booklet cards. … The base set will have jewel parallels this time with ruby, sapphire and emerald cards limited to no more than 20 copies. The diamond parallels will be 1/1s. … Among the hits are Material Signatures that will have autos and mem from top rookies with logo versions limited to only two copies. … On-card autos will be found for Material Signatures, Colossal Signatures and Signature Diecuts. … Rookie Silhouettes also will be found here with prime versions limited to no more than 25 copies. … Also to be found will be team logos autos for past and present players. … Game-used college memorabilia will be found in this one for Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Amari Cooper, Andrew Luck, Andy Dalton, Bobby Layne, Carson Palmer, Champ Bailey, Dan Marino, Elroy “Crazy Legs” Hirsch, Eric Dickerson, John Elway, Jim Thorpe, Le’Veon Bell, Marcus Allen, Marcus Mariota, Rob Gronkowski and Troy Aikman to name a few. … Also in the mix will be Notable Nicknames autos limited to no more than 25 copies and Team Quads with four stars from the same schools. … Booklets will showcase laundry tags, team logos, brands, team logos and team slogans. … Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $500.
