If you hadn’t noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices now over on the mothership as BlowoutCards.com’s Black November Wave 2 hits today.
Many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases — and here are five boxes that caught this collector’s eye.
2015 Topps baseball Mega Box case
This is the only place to find cards from the 50-card 2015 Topps Chrome Update set and buying by the case is probably the best way for a shot at key rookie parallels and autographs/Relics. Among the notables here? Kris Bryant, Carlos Correa and Francisco Lindor. Statistically there should be at least one Relic per case but the real chase are those key players and their parallels. You get five packs of standard Topps Update and only two packs of Chrome Update but it’s worth it if you buy by the case here — though there is a limit.
2012-13 Panini Marquee basketball hobby box
Buzz isn’t a regular basketball buyer but this one is a box that this collector has ripped — and it was one that impressed with varying types of cards and a massive amount of cardboard once you’re done. There are nearly 400 different Rookie Cards in this one with all of those various types of cards and it doesn’t hurt that Anthony Davis is among them.
The Big Bang Theory Seasons 6 & 7 box
The newest release documenting the world of Sheldon, Penny, Leonard and the rest of the crew is here from Cryptozoic and it’s a product that includes some autographs that you might not expect like Bob Newhart. If you haven’t tried a box of these but know the show, maybe now’s the time to consider one?
2016 Panini National VIP 8×10 autographed folio package
Want a sure thing with autographs this holiday season? This is one to consider. It’s a package of signed 8×11 photos from this year’s Panini VIP Party and it includes autographs of Allen Iverson, Scottie Pippen, Lawrence Taylor, Shawn Kemp, Reggie Jackson and Chase Elliott. The only way to get these photos made just for the event was to pony up to attend the party. It’s a pretty solid lineup of ink for the price.
2010 Benchwarmer Signature Series
Want a perhaps non-traditional pick? How about one of these 10-pack boxes that includes an autograph in every single pack. There are some notable autos to be found here, including Torrie Wilson, Christy Hemme, April Scott, Sara Underwood and Mia St. John.
