If you hadn’t noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices now over on the mothership as BlowoutCards.com’s Black November Wave 7 hits today.
Many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases — and here are five boxes that caught this collector’s eye.
2013 Panini Prizm Perennial Draft Picks baseball hobby box
Every box of this one includes four autographs, three inserts and six Prizm parallels — that’s not a lot and Panini America added more in subsequent Prizm releases but there are a couple of names that make this box notable at its reduced price. They are Kris Bryant and Mookie Betts and both of those MVP candidates can be found within the Prizm rainbow of autographs here. Others of note within these packs? Carlos Correa, Joc Pederson, Clint Frazier, Byron Buxton, Clint Frazier, Maikel Franco, Jose Abreu and Aaron Judge. The right rare shade here could be easy profits based on the box prices.
2008 Upper Deck SP Authentic baseball hobby box
There’s an interesting mix of veterans, rookies and USA Baseball prospects in this one from deeper into the history books. You’ll get three autographs in every box with some of the names including Derek Jeter, Stephen Strasburg (USA), Joey Votto, Kevin Youkilis, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Roy Halladay, Matt Kemp, Evan Longoria, Johnny Cueto and plenty more. You’ll find dual autos, By The Letter autos and plenty more here.
2013-14 Panini NBA Hoops jumbo box
Every box of this one includes three hits — two autographs and one memorabilia card — along with more than 50 parallels and a ridiculous number of inserts. There will be more than 200 insert cards in a box. If you get a key rare name on any of those fronts, you can do pretty well.
2011 Topps Chrome football hobby box
Sure, a number of the Superfractors have been pulled from this one but there are some big names to be found when it comes to autographs and Refractors — Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Mark Ingram, Andy Dalton, A.J. Green, DeMarco Murray and J.J. Watt. This high-potential box isn’t typically a cheap one but the discount here helps out quite a bit.
2012 Topps baseball factory set — Fenway Dirt Relic Edition
We all know there are a number of factory set options for collectors to decide from each and every year but this is a simply dirty pick. Why? Every set includes a Relic card with authentic infield dirt from Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox. It also doesn’t hurt that you can find Bryce Harper Rookie Card variations here as part of the five-card bonus pack inside every set.
