Topps has Trout hooked for a few more years.
An already existing exclusive autograph deal with the lone maker of MLB-approved baseball cards announced on Monday that it has signed an extension to its deal with American League MVP Mike Trout.
“Topps has been my home since I was drafted,” Trout said in a prepared release. “I’m so happy to be part of the Topps family and look forward to working with this innovative company for many years.”
Trout already appears on nearly 1,300 different certified autograph cards and more than 1,000 of those have been made by Topps since he made his debut on cardboard in 2009. He signed his exclusive deal with Topps in late 2014 after his first MVP season.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Mike Trout,” said David Leiner, Topps’ Vice President and General Manager of North American Sports and Entertainment. “Beyond being a great player, he’s been a tremendous ambassador for the game, and brings joy and excitement to baseball fans everywhere.”
