What’s buzz-worthy: National Treasures presence goes collegiate for baseball with top young stars and legends from the past all in one place in what Panini says is smaller than Immaculate Collection Collegiate, which it previously said was “the smallest case run in company history.” So now this one is the rarest.

The Basics: The base set will be numbered to 99 copies with Silver, Gold, Black and Blue parallels. … For memorabilia fans there will be College Game Worn cards with pieces of college gamers from Barry Larkin, Buster Posey, Mark McGwire, Paul Molitor and Gerrit Cole. There will also be memorabilia cards enhanced with ink. Among those will be Material Signatures with brand logo parallels limited to two as well as Colossal Signatures and prime booklets that spotlight younger stars. The rookies will have on-card autos. … Other autographs will be Team Logos, Signatures and Notable Nicknames. … The Flawless brand gets a nod here as a jewel set with Emeralds (/20) and 1/1 Diamonds. … These boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $500.
