What’s Buzz-worthy: Panini America’s Prizm brand is a bit of a mainstay for NBA fans with an appealing parallel rainbow and high-dollar potential. Blaster boxes guarantee an autograph or memorabilia card every time and this one included a D-Leaguer who’s actually playing pretty well but not much else in the base set or RCs other than a Russell Westbrook. (Part of that is inevitably there being just three base cards per pack and a 300-card set) The inserts had some names but overall this box just felt very flat. I’m not sure what I had expected, but it just felt like this box didn’t deliver enough. The lesson here? A hobby box will deliver more, so that’s probably the way to go if you’re sold on the Prizm rainbow. If not, give it a try via a blaster — this one has the potential to surprise you.
