The last time we checked in on Cole Beasley here on The Buzz he was small but powerful on TV and on cardboard.
But now he’s a bit bigger deal.
Why? The Dallas Cowboys’ 5-foot-8 wide receiver has signed his first certified autographs and they are arriving this week.
Beasley’s first autographs will be found in boxes of 2016 Donruss Signature Series (top), which arrives on Wednesday from Panini America with four autographs per box.
The fifth-year pro out of SMU has caught a career-high 58 passes for 647 yards and five touchdowns this season and has 16 touchdowns for his career. His next score will set a new career-high there, too.
What Beasley doesn’t have is a bunch of Rookie Cards. He has just one from 2014 Panini National Treasures (above), and it’s a card limited to 99 serial-numbered copies from a pricey high-end box. He has appeared on roughly 150 cards in his NFL career but none — until now — had featured an autograph.
