Relic Dog Tag (1) – Wade Barrett
What’s Buzz-worthy: This product is a simple one with one of 35 wrestlers found on a dog tag and a matching trading card inside each pack. Along for the ride are Relic tags and autograph tags. The Relics are found one per box, while the autographs are tougher pulls at one in every 107 packs. A total of 18 stars have Relics, while 10 stars have autographs here. … For what it is, this is overall a fun, simple and crisp release. You’ll note that the fun grade is low. Why? The cards come out of packs relatively mangled as they are damaged by the chains of the tags inside the packs — even for a box that was sealed and relatively untouched as this one was. Also not helping are the tight wrappers here — scissors were necessary not damage cards even more. Their standard stock just can’t compete against metal, suffering surface damage and in some cases creasing. The tags themselves are pretty solid and the Relics and autos have some pretty big names. (Checklist below gallery.) These boxes can be had for less than $1 a pack with some looking and there’s potentially money to be made here if you land the right ink. The Relics are simple but something different and fun as well. If you didn’t dig in at these at their regular price (more than $1 a pack for sure), then this might be worth revisiting.
