New season for Topps Now launches now — team sets for spring training with bonus autos & incentive cards

Day 1 of 2017 Topps Now is here — and it launches with 450 base cards.

And autographed cards atop that … and incentive bonus cards possible, too.

How? Team sets documenting spring training — 42 in all — that launch now and are on sale until April 4.

The basic 15-card 2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day team sets will be revealed as the preseason marches on. They are $49.99, while autographed sets will include one autograph from an assortment of players who will be noted in the listings as the sets build over time. Those will be $99.99 or more.

In addition to these cards there are bonus cards for events that happen during the season. For example, if the Washington Nationals are first in their division at the All-Star Break, a Nationals pitcher tosses a no-hitter or perfect game, or a Nationals hitter hits for a cycle then there are bonus cards that will be made.

For the 12 autograph sets, here’s a rundown of signers who were teased:

Boston Red Sox: Chris Sale, Andrew Benintendi, David Price
New York Yankees: Aaron Judge, Tyler Austin, Dellin Betances
Chicago Cubs: Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, Jason Hayward, Wade Davis
Los Angeles Dodgers: Corey Seager, Andrew Toles, Kenta Maeda
New York Mets: Noah Syndergaard, Steven Matz, Robert Gsellman
