What’s Buzz-worthy: You probably know the design from a number of Heritage and other retro-styled releases and you’ve probably seen these sets here and there in the past but seeing wax isn’t as easy as it used to be — after all, this series is nearing its 40th anniversary. (The film itself is 40 this year as it arrived in 1977.) One chase here? This fourth series is the home to the infamous Goldenrod variation that’s arguably the 1989 Fleer Billy Ripken of the non-sports world. That card wasn’t to be found in this particular pack among the green-bordered cards, which are from Nos. 199 to 264 in the release. The only other thing found here? One of 11 stickers. I was happy to see a number of Luke Skywalker cards in this pack — he’s a past favorite — and a couple Princess Leia cameos. They’re relatively clean from the packs though the centering of the cards here is distinctly 1970s — so good luck if you’re thinking about grading.
