What’s Buzz-worthy: If it wasn’t for one card this pack would have earned a very low grade. The Nolan Ryan “No-hit King” card may not hold up by today’s standards, but it was a big deal then and was by far the biggest deal in this pack. It would be grading-worthy save for a lifted corner This brand is considered one of the landmark releases of the decade but Buzz finds it very overrated — especially now. Why is it in demand? A solid design that does hold up and showcases photos very well is one reason. The main reason? A couple of key cards. Key Rookie Cards here include Dave Justice, Frank Thomas, Larry Walker, Carlos Baerga and the esteemed Kevin Maas. Really, only two of those RCs really means much now (Thomas and maybe Walker) and there are literally no inserts to be found here save for the puzzle, which Buzz will File 13 along with the wrapper here once this piece publishes (so, yes, it’s gone). For those of use who were forced to pay far too much for a pack for 1990 Leaf back in 1990, this is a fun one to revisit for a fraction of the price. Honestly, it’s not aged well — and it’s best worth your time to just buy a set or key graded singles.

That’s a lot of pitchers in one pack lol. At least one of them is one of greatest of all time.
