The final trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has arrived in advance of its arrival on May 5 and it appears that there’s a potential family twist in the tale of Star-Lord.
It can’t be that obvious of a spoiler, can it?
The trailer ends with a debut of Kurt Russell atop the cast that already includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Glenn Close and Michael Rooker as regulars in the franchise and Sylvester Stallone, Nathan Fillion as newcomers this time around.
This is the third and apparently final trailer for the forthcoming film. The first film grossed $333 million worldwide after its release in August 2014. That’s ninth-best in the thick cinematic history of Marvel films, per Box Office Mojo. The movies are based on a comic book team that originally appeared in 1969 with the current lineup dating back to 2008.
