What’s Buzz-worthy: Buzz didn’t plan to have two Elvis breaks in this 12 in 12, but this pack had been hanging around unopened since the series made its debut two months ago. It was just time. Why? Perhaps to show how different the cards from Hour 1 are compared to this one. Simply put, the hobby has come a long way in the decades between these Elvis releases. That’s not to say these are bad, but the coolest thing in this pack might be the illustration found on the backs of every card. Donruss took the Topps non-sports model down a notch with simply 66 cards — and nothing else — printed on bright white stock and some “Elvis Facts” on the backs. Hunt around and you can find a box of these nearly 40-year old cards for less than a couple of blaster boxes. That’s a good thing if you want to have some fun and rip something distinctly retro. You can find sets for far less than the price of one modern-day blaster box. Final thought? Hit the Press Pass from Hour 1 — you’ll get some type of hit.
