What’s Buzz-worthy: This box was an interesting one in that it yielded as it should have but with some extras as there is not a memorabilia card in every tin. Per the tin’s sleeve, those are one in every 24 packs. Per the packs, those are one in every 240. Going with the sleeve odds, the box also over-delivered with a 1:72 Shining Stars Blue insert and a 1:60 Superstars Portraits card. It didn’t feel that special, though, as this collector was ripping with the eye on just three cards in this one — the Young Guns Rookie Cards. The Auston Matthews card still pushes $100 all this time since its release — and much more when graded. He wasn’t in this one. Some stores may have these tins piled up (some regions just don’t sell hockey as much — but the chain stores are still stocked) so it’s perhaps a good way to take a shot at a hot card. Maybe the tin will surprise you.
