n What’s Buzz-worthy: Optic is one of the highlights of the NBA calendar for lower-end brands and it appears to be a hit just like it was for the NFL. This box had a couple weird things — one pack included an extra card and two packs included duplicate rookies. One of those is a bonus if you claim Kevin Durant as the extra card but duplicates in this small of a box is a bit of a bummer — but at least they were rookies. Bailing this box out was one of the rarer Checkerboard inserts that are interestingly pricey right now among eBay asking prices and some cards have been serious sellers. This one? It didn’t wow me, but the only one on eBay has an asking price of $75. Meanwhile the only one active has a bid at $1. What will it go for? How rare is it? Who knows? But it looks like if you land the right guy in this parallel, you’ll perhaps pay for your box and more.
