Apparently Takk didn’t take the time to sign all of his stickers for Panini America — and now the company is replacing the cards.
The company announced on Friday night that some of the autographs of former UCLA Bruins football star Takkarist McKinley — a first-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons — will be replaced by those requesting them.
Here’s the full statement from Panini:
“Panini America officials late Thursday were alerted to a situation involving questionable autographs of Atlanta Falcons first-round pick Takkarist McKinley that were included in the company’s recently released 2017 Elite Draft Picks football and 2017 Contenders Draft Picks football products. Through extensive research and working closely with McKinley’s representatives, Panini America officials have confirmed that some of McKinley’s autographs in those products were not signed by McKinley.
“While this is an extremely unfortunate situation, Panini America officials have agreed to work with McKinley and his representatives to rectify the issue by offering to replace any McKinley autograph cards from the aforementioned products with versions featuring authentic McKinley signatures.
“Collectors in possession of McKinley autograph cards from 2017 Elite Draft Picks football and 2017 Contenders Draft Picks football are encouraged to send them to Panini America for replacement at:

First, great catch and i applaud your effort to fix this mistake but i do have a question or two. How does this happen, aren’t these stickers signed in front of a rep? If so i hope this rep got canned! Also, is their compensation for the money & time i have to now take to get what i should have already had (a certified auto) from your product?
