It’s a simple idea — a comic book take on an iconic album cover — and it’s going straight outta comics to the bookshelf once again this fall.
Set to drop in September is Marvel: The Hip-Hop Covers Vol. 2, a hardcover collection of past variant comic book covers all in one place. It’s a virtual visual checklist of sorts for comics that are slightly tougher finds with nods to pop culture that give them some extra appeal beyond the comic shop.
This 168-page collection follows on the heels of the first book issued last October and this one features an introduction by Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC.
It includes cover artwork from countless artists and offers behind-the-scenes sketches that helped bring these pieces to life.
