What’s Buzz-worthy: This box was initially a retail-only release found at Target stores and it includes a small Chrome Update set loaded with rookies and stars alongside cards from the huge 300-card Update set. These boxes do include hits along with a rainbow of parallels for the Chromes — Refractors, X-fractors, Gold Refractors and Superfractors. The Relics are one in every 32 packs (16 boxes) and auto Relics are one in every 549 packs. The only other Chrome insert is the 3,000 Hits Club, which should be found once in every box. The standard packs do include numbered parallels and variations along with a good array of inserts but no hits. You don’t get a ton of cards here — and for $5 more (at retail) you got a guaranteed hit in the similar Holiday Mega Boxes over at Walmart — but these have Chrome cards that should age better than the Snowflake parallels in the other set. This one may make the chase of those key guys you want take longer with just eight Chrome cards in a box, but it could pay off with parallels and hits.
