What’s Buzz-worthy: This box delivered very well considering it was found in a discount bin at a retail store. Why? Printing plates are one in every 2,064 packs and the numbered Purple is one in 111 packs. As said here previously, Bowman Platinum returned after a year off as a retail-only (Walmart-only) exclusive that’s got plenty of potential and a better look and feel than its predecessor. Autographs start at one in every 105 packs with a rainbow that includes plenty. (Want guaranteed ink? See the boxes in the link above, which have two per.) Between ink and inserts, there will be some strong boxes out there. … The packs only include four cards, which seems small but one could argue that helps the value to a degree making sets harder to build. … The base set has a strong look with simple touches to add to its appeal with card backs that are clean and sharp. … If you’re a prospect-leaning collector, this one will probably pull you in. If you’re just a general collector, there are some nice touches that make it worth a look.
