What’s buzz-worthy: The college gridiron once again gets its own Immaculate Collection release with the stars of the past (and recent past) in this school-focused high-end brand.

The Basics: Each box will include just six cards — a base card or parallel atop the hits. The base set will consist of just 25 cards each numbered to just 99 copies with Gold (/5) and 1/1 Platinum parallels also in the mix. Autos also will have those parallels. … There will be Immaculate Ink and standard autos with members of the College and Pro Football Hall of Fames, while rookies will have on-card autos in the rookie patch autos, Immaculate Signature Rookie Patches and Premium Patches Rookie Autographs sets. There also will be a number of high-end patch cards — bowl conference patches, championship patches, team logo shields, laundry tags, brand logos and more. … Numbers memorabilia cards will be limited to the player’s uniform number, while Trios will group memorabilia from college teammates and Immaculate Ink Combos will group alumni ink together. … Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $300, which is actually $100 less than last year.
