What’s Buzz-worthy: Take a look at the names here and you’ll see how much the league can change even in just a few seasons. (How many of those rookies panned out?) Also different is that Topps is on the sidelines for even making cards, but revisiting these discounted boxes can give us a glimpse back to that time. This box included a ton of rookies and a decent amount of inserts along with a hit for an original price of $14.98 and a discounted price now of $7.98. Either way, this wasn’t a bad break, though the base cards’ star power was a little lacking (a sign that this is a big base set). If I could find a few more, I’d probably rip them at this price — just for fun.
