What’s Buzz-worthy: As said in a previous break here, these are very small boxes, so 2013 Panini Crown Royale retail all about landing some names in only four chances. With the NFL and rookies that’s not always easy with some having a short hobby shelf-life, but there is potential to be found here in what is essentially a small hobby box. You’re guaranteed a pair of hits and all cards in this one are different than the hobby version. (Here, for example, the base cards are bronze foil instead of silver.) … Among the rookies of note are Le’Veon Bell, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyler Eifert, Geno Smith, Eddie Lacy, Keenan Allen, Tavon Austin, C.J. Anderson and plenty of guys who could be bargains with some upcoming luck on the field. … Part of the fun also comes in the surprises of a small break — and what you might land if you get lucky. … If you’re a fan of diecuts and foil this should be a fun one. (Buzz isn’t, generally but this was fun.) … Parallels include Bronze Holo, Red, Red Holo, Platinum Holo and Black for base and rookies. For memorabilia cards there are prime parallels to be found, too. … Also in the mix are dual and triple memorabilia cards. … The simple but unique Panini’s Choice inserts can also be found in gold — and that’s a rarity that helped this box’s grade, though the player wasn’t one of the big ones. … Ultimately, it all just comes down to landing those top names. That’s a lot easier at its price now than when it carried a $39.99 suggested retail price at retail.
