What’s Buzz-worthy: You get a boatload of inserts and base cards here along with two hits. A number of those inserts are also serial-numbered, which is a plus. The only drawback for me here is the design. It’s got a colorful retro feel but something doesn’t feel right to this collector. Maybe it’s the gloss or the heavy foil — probably the foil — atop a color scheme that’s very busy in every pack. Had this design been a throwback from the past, it’d probably be a more familiar feel to make this colorful mix more palatable. It’s not a bad mix at all — just doesn’t agree. The mix of short-printed base cards (Nos. 201-300) are worked into the insert/shorts list here because they really feel like they aren’t part of the standard set. The names here are decent but some of those top rookies weren’t found in this box but it was still a fun rip.
