What’s Buzz-worthy: This collector-friendly brand is back in the hobby channels after some time as a retail-only release and it remains a simple but somewhat fun one to rip and enjoy. You get a good volume of basic cardboard with more than one Rookie Card in a number of packs from a base set that’s not as simple visually as NBA Hoops but packs just as much info with a more-deluxe feel. That said, this one still feels simple on other fronts with the two hits feeling like they could have been found in any brand. The Leather Rookie Cards are a different feature — something been done before in other brands — and the insert lineup has a welcoming simplicity with parallels touches that include foil-color changes and foilboard. All in all, this feels like a brand that could deliver on some fun or satisfy someone who just wants to collect.
